My wife and I had the rare opportunity to meet the most wonderful and loving young Amish couple imaginable. In our quest to find a replacement puppy for our two 16 year old poodles that passed away in December of 2023, we found an ad in a local Marshall County, Indiana, publication advertising a poodle breeder only 15 minutes away in Etna Green. We were amazed by the professionalism and expertise by which they ran their business. But, what really touched our hearts the most was the love and care that they put into each and every one of their newborns. Gabriel and Joyce Helmuth, the owners of "Perfect Match Poodles", regarded these precious little creatures as gifts from God. In their eyes, these innocent little ones were to be cherished, loved and cared for like the family members they regarded them as in their own home. Gabriel and Joyce have dedicated their lives to making sure that these animals have the latest, most modern and up to date kennels available. This is to insure the dogs in their care are healthy and very content. Understandably, the Helmuths hope that the new owners of these little "fur babies " in their charge will be just as caring and loving as they were accustomed to at "Perfect Match Poodles". We couldn't help but relate this experience to an adoption of one of Gabe and Joyce's children. They said that they were going to miss "Annie" and hoped we would bring her back for visits again. We assured them we would. Debbie and I feel blessed that our paths crossed with the Helmuths. Not only did we add a new member to our family, but we made new good friends in the process.
